Ship Fitter Job Overview:

The Ship fitters are responsible for assembling and erecting structural steel during various stages of ship hull construction. The ship fitters also build all interior structures such as hatches, doors, and bulkheads to complete all the steel work in the ship. This work is for ship repair on barges, tugs, and supply vessels. The Ship fitters could be working either day or night shift any day of the week.

 

Ship Fitter Applicant Requirements:

-Minimum of 3 years of recent field experience ship fitting in marine environments

-Must be willing to work any day during the week and any shift

-Must pass a pre-employment drug test

-Must have a current resume
