The Relief Marine Terminal Operator is an individual contributor role that is responsible for all day to day operations at the Gibson Barge Facility, Ship Shoal terminal, Fourchon and Nairn facilities as needed.  The successful candidate is an individual that is highly motivated and qualified to work at a MSTA regulated facility as dictated by the USCG (United States Coast Guard) and DOT (Department of Transportation) Operator Qualification Stand.

Responsibilities will include but isn't limited to the following:

  • Ensuring the personal, environmental and asset safety of the facility
  • Ensuring all terminal deliveries, blending and receipt line ups are identified by the Shell Scheduler and the Control Center
  • Ensuring that barges are safely loaded and unloaded
  • Supporting HSSE inspections at the facility
  • Supporting regulatory inspections at the facility
  • Completing SAP notifications in the system
  • Additional duties may vary based on product, location, and on/offshore activities
