Allison Offshore Services is currently looking for a Pipe Welder, who will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of pipes and other equipment. The Pipe Welder will perform welds to metal components, read and interpret blue drawings and operate machinery to verify repairs. A majority of these duties will be performed offshore and in various weather conditions at different elevations.  


Job Responsibilities

  • Welds components in flat, vertical and overhead positions
  • TIG weld also/or welds Flux Core Arch Welding
  • Sets up and operates hand and power tools common to welding trade
  • Lay out, position, align and secure parts for welding
  • Participate in JSA’s and all other Safety, Health and Environmental Processes
  • Other duties as assigned 

Job Requirements

  • Recent Offshore Construction experience.
  • Must be able to weld components in horizontal rolled position (1G); horizontal fixed position (5G); pipe inclined fixed (6G); and vertical position (2G)
  • Ability to work in and maintain a safe work environment
  • Ability to add subtract, multiply and divide using units of US currency, weight, measurement, volume and distance
  • General Knowledge of offshore construction and salvage operations
  • Knowledge of all equipment and tools necessary to perform the duties required of a pipe welder

Education & Experience:

  • High school Diploma or G.E.D is preferred
  • Prior Structural Fabrication experience preferred
  • Must possess a valid TWIC card

Candidates will be required to pass:

  • Pipe Welder Test
