GENERAL FUNCTION: Welds metal parts together to fabricate or repair products according to layout, blueprints, or work orders. Complies with all safety rules and procedures. Maintains and completes all required records. TYPICAL DUTIES: The following statements describe general duties and should not be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. • Prepares and aligns metal products for welding • Welds metal parts together • Operates tools (Pneumatic, rose bud) • Performs other duties as assigned
Welder “C” 1. Performs flat, fillet welds. 2. Grinds using cup and/or cone grinder and chipping hammer to bevel, round straighten edges or removes defects, burrs and holes per specification 3. Possess knowledge of sheet metals and structural materials 4. Requires general supervision. 5. Must pass fillet-welding test requirements.
Welder “B” 1. Perform all duties of Welder “C.” 2. Capable of setting up and prepare product to weld. 3. Perform grinding 4. Operates tools (Pneumatic, rose bud) 5. Must be able to back gouge and make weld repairs. 6. Ability to efficiently make UT repairs. 7. Must pass welding test requirements. 1G Flux Core, Sub Arc, MIG and 2G Flux core and MIG. 8. Welds in multiple positions (flat, horizontal and overhead using both GMAW and FCAW processes. 9. Requires some supervision.
Welder ”A” 1. Perform all duties of Welders “B” and “C.” 2. Capable of setting up and weld in most all welding positions (flat, horizontal, overhead and vertical). 3. Able to back gouge and perform x-ray weld and make UT repairs. 4. Capable of troubleshooting machines, 5. Operates tools(Pneumatic, rose bud) 6. Must pass welding test requirements. 1G Flux Core, Stick, Sub Arc, MIG and 2G Flux core, Sub Arc and MIG, and 3G Flux Core and Sub Arc 7. Train Welders “B,” “C,” and “T”. 8. Minimal supervision.
Requirements:REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to setup welding equipment. Must pass weld test. Capable of reading, understanding and following blue prints and all weld procedures. Ability to function as a team member. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and customers. Regular and predictable attendance is required
Compensation:Competitive with great benefits! Pay is based on experience. Differential for 2nd shift. Sign on bonus available for class A Pipe Welders.
