The Work Preparation Technician assist in the development of quality work packages/plans that address safety/health/environmental factors, reliability and cost.  Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for performing job scoping activities for all work orders and performing complete planning activities for emergency and urgent priority work orders including but not limited to:
  • Creating corrective work orders from approved notifications
  • Visiting job site to diagnose and scope problem to determine true failure mode and/or cause of defect
  • Determining work scope and gather job site details via work preparation checklist
  • Creating digital work preparation folder in SharePoint
  • Creating work prep notes in work order
  • Receiving new material from warehouseman
  • Performing technical QA/QC of new material
  • Monitoring work orders for scope changes
  • Complying with and adhere to all work preparation, scheduling, and execution process requirements
  • Coordinating work prep activities with another team members as needed or as directed by the Planning Team Lead
  • Initiating and assisting in material requirements identification
  • Printing shop papers for distribution by Offshore Team leads
