We are currently seeking an Equipment Technician to help support operations at our Morgan City, LA facility. This person will help to inspect, maintain, and prepare well control and tubular equipment before delivery to customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clean equipment so that visual inspection for assessment of damages can be done
  • Paint or otherwise protect rental equipment from the elements prior to shipping or placing in inventory
  • Asses any damages to returned rental equipment
  • Stencil or otherwise identify new equipment that enter our inventory
  • Perform visual inspection and/or functional test of new equipment
  • Perform visual inspection and/or functional test of tubular prior to shipping on rental jobs
  • Maintain professional relations with customers as well as others within organization
  • Read and interpret specifications and procedures
  • Know and understand Sub Surface Tools Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Quality Procedures Manual, and applicable Department Operating Procedures
  • Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Requirements:

  • Previous experience in warehouse, production, and/or oil and gas industry
  • Ability to identify and utilize basic hand tools
  • Ability to speak and understand English
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, etc
  • Possess certification to operate a forklift and overhead crane (preferred)
